Players from Outlaws 16's & 18's Win Knock it out of the Yard Tourney
The 2015 local area "Brats" softball team started their upcoming winter season on a great note by winning the OYA High School "Knock It Out Of The Yard" Tournament on Sunday, November 9th. In a thrilling and well played Championship Game versus Anchor Bay, the Brats won 4-1 in International Tie Breaker play after being tied 1-1 after 6 innings. The Brats played extremely well defensively with solid pitching in holding the opposition to 7 runs over four games and had multiple players from the MI Outlaw 16U and 18U teams including Sydney Schultz, Chase Schultz, Rianna Koteles, Ashley Holland, Teresa Menzel, Lauren Castellon, Ali Zawada, and Alivia Grunwald.
12U Carlson volunteers to Ring the Salvation Army Bell
On November 8th, as part of the 12U Carlson Pay-It Forward program the team volunteered their time to Ring the Salvation Army Bell at the local Kroger in Commerce Township. This is the third year that the team has been performing this community service and the girls will be volunteering once again on December 6th. In the 4 hours that the girls rang the Bell they were able to collect $192.77, which is awesome compared to the average bucket collects $70 in same time frame. Be sure to visit the 12U team again and donate money to Salvation Army at the Kroger on Union Lake in Commerce Township on December 6th from 1:00 - 5:00pm. Excellent job girls, way to Pay-It Forward!
14U Cermak 3rd @ NSA Halloween Clash
MI outlaws 14u Cermak placed 3rd place at the NSA Halloween Clash in Hartland. Despite the 40 degree weather, frozen bases, and early frost on the ground in the morning, the girls came out ready to play and gave their best, early in the season.
16u Schultz Take 4th at PGF Blue Chip
2014-15 Michigan Outlaws 16U Schultz bounce back on Sunday, September 28th to take 4th place (16 teams) at the PGF Blue Chip Fall Classic Showcase. The Outlaws posted a 2-1 record on Sunday playing at the new and beautiful Art Van Sports Complex in Rockford, MI.
Outlaws 12U Volunteers at Gleaners Food Bank
The Michigan Outlaws 12u team volunteered their time at Gleaners Community Food Bank on September 9, 2014.
"Thank you so much for organizing to bring a group of wonderful volunteers to Gleaners on 9/9/14! We are extremely grateful for the hard work provided by your group. Through your efforts, your group managed 4,217 lbs of food which equates to 3,514 meals!
